Welcome to the Cow Power Inc. website! This introductory page is here to provide you with information about our company and services to help you decide whether contacting Cow Power might assist you in reviewing options for anaerobic digestion at your farm.
Company ProfileCow Power Inc. was formed in 1999. We are located in the heart of the Finger Lakes region in New York State. Cow Power has been involved with a number of other energy conservation and environmental management projects, but our focus is on anaerobic digesters. We completed our first dairy digester under the Cow Power banner in 2001, although principals were responsible for construction of one of the first dairy digesters in New York State in 1982. The 1,100-cow 2001 project was followed by a 400-cow digester at Morrisville State College, in 2006. Construction of a 500-cow digester in New York's Capitol District is scheduled to commence by September 2008. This digester will feature technology and construction technique advancements that will raise the bar for digester performance and cost effectiveness in the United States. We are familiar with various financial incentives and support programs and are prepared to assist dairy farmers in exploring the feasibility of anaerobic digestion at large and small facilities throughout the Northeast.
